Or stop pretending it is a day trip

If you want Bromo as well — and the fact you are reading a from-Bali page suggests Java is a side quest — a single-night Ijen run cannot add it. The multi-day combos do the full chain over two to four days and end with a Bali drop-off anyway, so the ferry crossing you were dreading becomes the finish line instead of the midpoint. The logistics of basing west
